Veterinarian

Qualifications: Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1986
Accreditations in: Pregnancy Testing (Australian Cattle Vets Examinator Status), Bull Testing (Australian Cattle Vets), Bovine Johnes Disease AAPAV, Goat JD Map.

After graduating from Sydney University in 1986, Chris worked in Goulburn in the Southern Highlands for two years. He moved to Dorrigo with his wife Karen in 1988 in order to be more involved in Dairy Cattle practice.

Chris has an interest in a diverse range of Veterinary Practice, and believes that a veterinarian needs to be competent in dealing with any animal in need. He has an active interest in cancer treatment in small animals and nutrition of livestock.

Chris is a keen cyclist. Chris and Karen have three daughters Ella, Danielle and Cara.

Veterinarian

Qualifications: Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/ Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours)

Cara has recently joined our practice in August, 2021. Cara grew up in Dorrigo and after graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2021 has decided to return home to work at the family practice. At work Cara thoroughly enjoys small animal surgery and ultrasonography, equine and cattle work.

When not in the clinic, she is often out showing her ASH mare, gardening or playing with her golden retriever 'Rufus'.

Veterinary Nurse

Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Nursing

Hannah joined the practice earlier this year. She has previous experience working as a nurse in Aged Care having achieved an Advanced Diploma in Nursing. She is looking forward to completing studies in Veterinary Nursing in 2022. Hannah lives in Dorrigo with her three children, two dogs, one cat and three fish.

She enjoys playing music and embroidery in her spare time. Hannah is also a Retained Firefighter in Dorrigo.

Clinic Cat

Qualifications: 11 years mousing experience

Bryce joined our clinic three years ago and has been a valuable asset to our small team. Bryce is experienced in patient side care and mousing, and we are very fortunate to have Bryce in our clinic 24/7 as our security guard. On his days off you will see Bryce sleeping in the sun, shedding hair and demanding food.
